Grinding Techniques Pty Ltd is looking for a motivated and committed Millwright with wireman License.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and facility equipment.
- Installing various types of industrial and manufacturing equipment.
- Repairing and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Calibrating and maintaining circuitry.
- Ensure the correct wiring of power supply to installed equipment and machinery.
- Inspect electrical equipment regularly to ensure it is operating correctly
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
- Ensure to install wiring of power supply and conduct newly installed equipment and machines.
- Merger together wires in boxes with different specially developed connectors.
- Resolve and rectify problems correctly prior to breakdowns occurrence.
- Periodically inspect electrical equipment to assure it is operating correctly.
- Ensures work facility fulfil all required safety and environmental needs.
- Present project oversight as identified by management and engineers.
- Coordinate climbing and digging permits.
- Conduct in-depth electrical maintenance and instrumentation for troubleshooting, preventative and repair maintenance duties for plant utility, process and packaging equipment.
- Perform all multi-discipline duties related to electrical aspect.
- Maintain equipment documents for every single equipment and review on every modifications.
- Attain detailed information of OSHA Lock Out Tag Out Process and capability to record all internal paperwork .
- Install new equipment and modify existing equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance for every equipment in respective facility.
- Conduct and support for equipment changeovers and start-ups.
- Keep generator, lighting, and electrical systems in working order.
- Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts.
- Need to act quickly when a breakdown occurs, must be able to tell management whether the problem can be corrected and whether business can continue as usual.
- If regular activities must be stopped, the electrician will have to estimate how long a shutdown will last.
- Perform other various tasks as instructed by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Millwright (Red Seal)
- 10+ Years experience as a Millwright within Manufacturing
- Mechanical & Electrical drawings and fault finding.
- Experience in dealing with Variable speed drives
- PLC Programming and Installation experience |(Siemens and LG)
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience
- Wireman license (if not must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
- Hand’s on as the job will require physical work
- Must be able to adjust and calibrate machines
- MS Office Suite
- Abrasion Industry Experience (Added Advantage)
- Willing to Work Shifts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently based on company policies and practices
